LT Black Soldier Fly Networking Event

Updated: Apr 22, 2020

MLS Agri was founded officially in April 2019! By August we had set up our first BSF Production site, breeding our own first Black Soldier Fly colonies. We were taking waste from soy, dairy and wheat sources to feed our insects. Research was underway to find the best feed formulation to produce high quality larvae.

In September, once our production cycle had stabilized, we had our first Black Soldier Fly Networking Event in conjunction with Iskandar Regional Development Agency. This Networking Event included participants from not only Malaysia & Singapore, but US, China, and Japan.

It is estimated that edible insects for animal feed market will reach US$ 267.9 million by the end of 2018 in terms of value, and is forecasted to reach US$ 2385.6 million by the end of 2029.
